Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. A great run by both Barlickers in this race.  Wharfedale's James Hall and Barlick's Craig Shearer approached the summit together at the front of the race and at that point, there was nothing to separate them.  However, on the return, James managed to open up a gap and he ran out the race winner, but these two were in a personal battle of their own and both finished way ahead of the chasing runners.

Only a little further down the field, another battle was going on and Andy Berry managed to split the Wharfedale pair of Fred Maier and Stuart Hunn to finish in 6th place.

2 Craig Shearer 23:59
6 Andy Berry 26:38

72 Virgil Barton 2:38:00
112 Lorraine Slater 2:50:30

Jimmy Craig had a sterling inaugural run in this race, coming home in 8th place.  There were strong performances too from Danny Mills and Luke Maude resulting in Barlick being 2nd team, in fact there were good performances all round from everyone who turned out and Barlick certainly made its mark on this race.  The finishing times for the Barlickers were as follows:
