A good turnout of Barlickers for this race, with five out of the top ten places going to the club. At the front, it was nip and tuck between Jack Wood and Jimmy Craig with Jack just shading it. Jimmy was perhaps feeling the aftermath of a hard track session or as he put it as he approached the summit for the second time, "Harvey killed me last night". You might not see Mark Sandamas out on the fells for a while, but when he does return, you would never believe he has been away and in this race he managed a top ten finish as well as being first V40/V45.
In the ladies race, it was another outright victory for Lorraine Slater who was also first V40/V45 with Angela Donlan finishing 4th lady overall. All the Barlick finishing positions and times were as follows:
