Wholan Nook - 14 May 2025

The conditions for this race were perfect with it being a warm dry night with a bit of a breeze on the tops.  Those conditions suited Laura Craig who had a cracking run to take the honours in the ladies race.  She came down off the tops in the lead and although she was being chased by 2nd place Victoria Mousley, she looked strong and capable of holding off any challenge on the long run round the res.  It was a good evening for our girls with both Jacqueline Collins and Nicola Muller coming first in their respective categories.  Lydia Hirst is adapting well to fell running in her first year in the sport and both her and Lisa Gee have great promise for the future.

In the men's race, Dave Mirfield is continuing to struggle and again showed that he is not quite in peak condition at the moment.  Having said that, 12th position for a runner not fully fit is pretty good.

The Barlickers finished as follows:

Overall
12 David Mirfield 34:40 (3rd M40)
21 Andy Berry 36:31 (3rd M45)
49 Stan Dreiling 39:58
60 Shane Muller 40:43

Ladies Race
1 Laura Craig 40:29 (1st F35)
7 Jacqueline Collins 43:18 (1st F45)
17 Lisa Gee 47:56
26 Emma Pease 49:30
33 Nicola Muller 51:07 (1st M50)
64 Lydia Hirst 57:33
