Master of the ultra races, John Boothman had an outing today in this race and after some of his achievements, he must have felt like he was only getting warmed up when he ran down the finish funnel. Veteran long distance runner teamed up with Glenn Whittaker to tackle the pairs race.

It was lovely to see the new crop of young Barlickers out today. For many of them, it was their first race, yet they all did extremely well with Pearl Brimblecombe coming away with a silver medal, with others so tantalisingly close. For their first outing, the whole squad smashed it.
