This is a 'there and back' race passing over road sections, moorland paths and tracks to the summit of Pin Haw. Pinhaw Moor was used historically as a Beacon Hill and if you get a chance to stop at the summit you will be rewarded with spectacular views over Elslack Moor with Lancashire on one side and Yorkshire across its other.
Don't wait around too long though as the descent is fast and furious to the finish just past at Keb Bridge with much local support through Red Lion Street into the village.
The race has been in existence since at least the late 80's and the course has not altered making for course records to be broken. This is always a popular race being early in the fell racing calendar and a favourite in the Pendle & Burnley Gran Prix series.
