Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. About Us

The club was formed in December 2012 as a fell running club, but now also competes successfully in all running disciplines - Road, Cross Country, Fell and Trail. There is a strong spirit of inclusiveness and friendship within the club.

The club welcomes new members. You do not have to be a top runner to join the club. The existing membership covers a whole range of abilities, from those who like to compete at the top level, those who merely like to enjoy the experience of running, to those who are completely new to the sport.

So, whatever your level, you will always find a place in the club, whether it is going out with others of similar ability or joining one of our many training sessions, if you want to push your running to a higher level. And you will always find members in the club who will be happy to pass on their knowledge or offer you advice.

In addition, the club now has a large junior section which encourages participation in the sport by youngsters. You will find details of our junior activities in the Junior Web Site.

If you are interested in the joining the club, you will find an application form on our Membership Page.
