Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Membership fees for the club are as follows:

This is an 8 mile/ 2001 ft race, with  a couple of demanding climbs over the moors above Littleborough.  Our only representative was Richard Treitl who was 79th out of 87, with a time of 1:50:06.

The race was easily won by U17 Matthew Mackay of Rossendale ahead of V40 Ian Willis of Keighley & Craven.  First home for Barlick and 1st V50 was Chris Smale in 4th place overall and another good run by Rachel Villiers saw her finish 2nd woman.

Once again Barlick were on top form for the Burnley and Pendle Grand Prix. Julian Hood continued his winning form by taking the honours. The ladies once again dominated with Sarah Tipler taking the win, Annabel Ralph taking second and Lorriane Slater taking third.

After finishing third at Bingley Show yesterday Julian Hood was back out in the Barlick vest at Townley to take the win. New member Dan Mills had a strong run to finish 4th with Andrew Chew 3 seconds behind in 5th. For the ladies, Sarah Tipler had another great run to finish 2nd lady with Lorraine Slater taking 1st F45 and 4th overall.
