This is a really good fell race route (just over 10km) which goes a short distance uphill on a track then joins the moorland and pathways for a long ascent to the top of Whittle Hill. This is followed by a good long descent, but a sting in the tail is a very steep late ascent about a mile from the end which calls for some deep digging. Then it is a blast down the track to the finish at the cricket club where there is good catering and bar in the pavilion.

The main aims of the club are to increase the participation of running in Barnoldswick and to keep organised running as accessible as possible.
