Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Membership fees for the club are as follows:

Ian Cocks took on this 100km Ultra which was run in very hot condition on bank holiday Sunday. However he still put in a sterling effort to finish 17th.

 Three Barlickers took on this tough half which saw 300ft of climb. The results are as follows

Virgil Barton took on this 33 mile challenge which takes in every summit around the Welsh town of Llangollen covering 6200ft of ascent. 

He completed the challenge in 5hour 55 knocking 1hour 30 of the existing record - a fantastic achievement! 

Coniston Gullies was the setting this year for the first race in the BOFRA calendar and for many their first fell race since lockdown hit last year!

John made his way over to the lakes for this race on a very damp Sunday morning, however he said once running conditions were perfect.

Tim Pigott took part in this race which covered 47 miles and was won by Jacob Snochowski in 7:00:18. Tim finished in a respectable 22nd place in 8:55:38. 

Cloey Mason took part in this race over the weekend which is the first of seven. Set in the Cleveland Hills and Moors it covered 28.5 miles with approx 5400ft of climb. 

Cloey completed the race in 06:25:07
