The conditions for this race were clear blue skies and snow on the ground and in those conditions, U23 Evan Allan from Helm Hill set a blistering pace top comfortably take the Honours. Sam Horrocks is gradually getting his fitness back and he had a good race to finish in 7th place. Karl Nevison was 3rd M50. As for our other runners, the organisers had Andrew Smith as an M40 and Mark Horrocks was merely a senior.
The results are nowhere to be found on the internet and they can be accessed from the link below. The Barlickers finished as follows:

There were two races in this event, a 30 mile race and a 45 mile race. Barlick Fell Runners had a brilliant day and too the honours in both races.
In the 45 mile race, Dave Mirfield ran a scorcher and came home in 1st place a full 38 minutes before the chasing pack. John Boothman's knee must have held up as he finished in just over ten hours and first M60.
In the 30 mile race, Andy Berry came home in first place a comfortable eight minutes in front of the chasing runner, whilst in the women's race, Emma Law took the honours comfortably, a full twenty five minutes before the second place runner. It was good to welcome back Kerrie Bretherton to competitive racing and it was good too to see Lydia Hirst complete her first long race.
Lisa Gee had a crack at the walker's race and came home 3rd F40.
All in all, a good day for the club.
