Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. In this event, individuals were running for their schools rather than their clubs, but it was nice to see Barlick juniors out there showing off their fell running prowess.

First home was Jacob Reeday and no victory was ever more deserved.  He has had a cracking season and has produced some great performances and he did so again in this race, not only winning the race, but doing so with over a margin of one minute over the chasing pack.  And that is not to belittle that chasing pack - it contained some very good junior runners.

Another Barlick junior in this race was HarleyTreitl who finished 16th out of the 109 starters.  Again a good performance from a Barlick junior.

1 Jacob Reeday, Upper Wharfedale, 13:47
16 Harley Treitl, Ss John Fisher & Thomas More, Colne, 15:19

7 Stephen Shorrock 2:10:45

64 Molly Ralphson 43:23
112 Richard Treitl 54:34
121 Susan Hird 61:31
