Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. The Kilnsey Crag Race is a typical Dales "slow up, descend like a maniac" race.  Rob Hope was perhaps hoping to win this race yet again, but his hopes were dashed as he was pushed into second place by Simon Bailey of Mercia.  Jimmy Craig came home in 4th place and Barlick had three runners in the top ten.

4 Jimmy Craig 8:33
7 Luke Maude 9:02
8 Nick Treitl 9:28
37 John Boothman 11:39

Julian Hood won the one mile handicap race and Nick Treitl finished 5th.

Only two Barlickers made the trek up to Reeth for this race.  A second place was Jimmy Craig's reward for his trip, finishing behind Tom Addison of Helm Hill.  In third place was Jack Smith of Wharfedale.

Angela Donlan finished 4th lady and 1st LV40.

Last week saw the first Barlick win by a junior boy.  This week saw a junior girl take the honours.  Jenna Boothman was first girl in the U12 race. Her sister Chloe also had a good run in the U9 race.

Dad, John Boothman was first Barlicker in the senior race.
