Membership fees

Despite the name, the club participates in all disciplines of running, fell, cross country and road and welcomes applications from runners of all abilities to join us. If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come to one of our training sessions or one of our regular pub runs. You will be under no obligation to join, but you will get a feel for the club and a better idea if the club is for you. You can merely turn up to a training session unannounced, but it would be better if you contacted our club secretary first (details on the contacts page) and let him know that you will be coming and he will make sure that whoever is leading the group will look out for you. If you are an absolute beginner to running, you too are most welcome to join us in one of our sessions, but please contact our secretary first and he will make sure that you will have a programme with which you are comfortable. Kelbrook Fell Race - 6 June 2015

Race Pictures from Stuart Bryan

Those that turned out for this race saw several talented junior runners, and potential stars of the future, all finish in the top ten.  Junior runner Josh Boyle showed his class by beating the whole field, with a time of 22:22.  In 5th place, again running against older and more experienced runners was Jordan McDonald of Clayton and finally in 10th place was Marcus Preedy of Rossendale.  What is remarkable about Josh is that he had already run in the 5K Park Run at Burnley in the morning where, you have guessed it, he finished in first place.

Behind Josh, three Barlickers were battling for 2nd place.  The honours fell to Mat Lalor who showed that he is not just a tarmac man and he was chased home by Tom Corrigan and Marc Hartley.

The ladies race was won by Claire Vincent of Clayton who had to work hard to keep her nose in front of Kelly Whiteside of Trawden.  Following on from her successful run at Edenfield, Jen Hird was again third lady.  The first junior lady was Hannah Newbold of Wharfedale and the second was Jenna Boothman who quite remarkably finished 15th overall in the ladies race out of 25 runners.

Barlick men were first team as were the Barlick ladies.
