A terrific performance by Sarah Jarvis saw her finish in 2nd place and great support from Rachel Villiers and Lorraine Slater saw the girls finish first team. Not only that, but Leanne Dinsdale, Jennifer Hird and Victoria Peel ran their socks off too, for the ladies B team to finish 6th overall. As a bonus, the Barlick ladies also finished first V35 team too.
For the men, in the early part of the race, James Tingle and Lee Parrington were pushing each other round, but as the race progressed, James opened up a gap on Lee. In third place for Barlick was that redoubtable runner Lucas Payne and working his way through the field behind him was another fine veteran of running, Chris Smale. Together with support from Dan Taylor and Ian Cocks, the team came home in 7th place overall.
The finishing times and places for the Barlick runners were:

Sam Watson had a very good run and not only won this race, but in doing so, he set a new course record. Sam is a great lad and and all at Barlick Fell Runners will want to congratulate him on this achievement..
However, in setting this record and winning the race, he was closely pushed by our own Danny Mills, who finished just one second behind him! That was great racing between these two athletes. Not only that but David Mirfield was following on closely behind them both in third place and with Andy Berry in 8th place, it meant that Barlick took the team prize.
With our 4th runner securing a top twenty finish, it was a good day out for Barlick

This is a great little race over 4 miles with 1,000 ft of ascent. This year, there were cold wintry showers and it was slippery underfoot on the sodden muddy tracks with ice and snow on the higher ground. Water run offs on the downhill sections made descending very tricky at times (some described it as running down a waterfall). Just two Barlickers took part:
74 Gary Parkinson 45:55
90 Richard Treitl 50:44
Peter Coates of Clayton was the winner in 30:46.
110 finishers.
16 Stephen Shorrock 43:00
31 Carl Pawson 44:45
68 Paula Cullen 50:29
78 John Boothman 52:22
135 Katie Towers 1:01:52
153 Richard Treitl 1:07:55
The aim of the Barlick Fell Runners results service is to list the full results of all events in which our members have been involved and to archive these for future reference. If any have been missed, please let us know.
Cloey Mason turned out for this event and went for the marathon option which was 3 x 8.8 mile laps over road, trail and field. Not only that, but it had 1,500 ft of climb in it. Cloey found the 3rd lap particularly tough, but held on in there to finish 25th overall and 3rd lady.
25 Cloey Mason 4:11:56 (3rd lady)
76 ran.
This was another well organised race by Run Wales, with great views running up Great Orme and plenty of locals out supporting and offering hand fulls of jelly babies.
181 Emma Bailey 1:33:35
2515 Gary Bailey 2:57:06
Sarah Jarvis is back racing and in this, her first race for many years, she has demonstrated why she was such a force to be reckoned with in the past. She took just over an hour to complete this ten mile race, finishing in 28th position overall and 2nd woman. This was a County Championship race which means that Sarah got a silver medal, behind international runner Helen Clitheroe. Not only that, but Sarah's time is the 5th fastest in the Uk this year for her age group (FV40) in a ten mile race.
28 Sarah Jarvis 1:01:44 (2nd woman)
